We are particularly specialised in brickwork repair of older properties, particularly those with lime mortar and cement mortar. We offer a wide range of mortar colours and various repointing styles for our customers to choose from.
We understand the importance of the choice of materials used when restoring older properties. Lime mortar has been the traditional building material used in construction for thousands of years. Modern materials introduced in the early 19th and 20 centuries revolutionised the modern building industry but these new mortars were not suitable for historic buildings. Although cement mortar is suited to modern buildings, it can cause damage to older buildings. The skill of preparing and using lime mortar has been lost over the years.
